The Individual or group considered to not standing much chance in facing their opponent. The courageous combatant that still chooses to take on the battle to obtain success and live to see another day.

I’ve always had admiration for the underdog and rooted them on even when the odds of them succeeding was low. I’ve applauded their role as underdog because 1. It takes a brave heart to still battle with full spirit knowing you’re faced with a tough challenge and 2. I’ve always considered myself an underdog facing the world!

This challenging world we live in has thrown some of the greatest forks in the road and some of the hugest boulders at my path imagined. Knowing the challenges faced, I’ve still given my all and conquered the situations. Even if it may have seemed as though Life bruised me or got the best of me, I still claim victory because I fought and when knocked down I got back up. I chose to re-gather myself, study the competition, strategize and hop back in the ring.

Just as I have rooted on my favorite underdogs, I know that in my corner admirers and loved ones are rooting me on with prayer, support or even love shown. I know that I’m not in this race alone. I will continue to strive to be all that I know I’m capable of and I salute and continue to acknowledge all of my favorite Underdogs – till forever!
